About RSCM Ireland

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) is an educational charity which promotes the best use of music in worship, church life, and the wider community. The RSCM also publishes music and training resources, and organises courses, short workshops and activities.

With over 8,500 affiliates, members and friends in over 40 countries it is an international network, supported by over 750 volunteers and a small team of permanent staff based in the UK.

RSCM Ireland is an administrative region of the RSCM, encompassing the island of Ireland. The work of the RSCM in Ireland is overseen by the Co-ordinator who works closely with the officers of the two Executive Committees in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in delivering the RSCM’s core programmes and publicising its work and mission.

In order to assist us in this process, a number of Area Working Groups exist around the island. These small, local groups are led by a Convener who, together with the other members of the group is the first point of contact for RSCM members in that area. Area Working Groups also run training and development courses for church musicians from time to time.
