Members of the RSCM, taken from Ireland's churches and cathedrals, will join together on Saturday 29 September, as RSCM Voice for Life and Church Music Skills award winners are presented with their certificates. We are delighted that over 30 candidates successfully passed their Voice for Life examinations and one person will be presented with their Church Music Skills award (the first to be awarded in Ireland).

The Voice for Life training scheme provides a framework for choral singers to develop their vocal skills, their musical and liturgical understanding and their knowledge of repertoire. The scheme comes with a range of teaching material and supporting resources and gives plenty of advice on the practicalities of running a choir. It is intended to enable choir trainers and teachers to train their choir or group more effectively, and to help singers grow as people as well as musicians. For more information about Voice for Life why not take a look at the Voice for Life page.

Church Music Skills is a pioneering new education programme designed to help practicing church musicians to develop the skills and understanding that they need for their role, and to equip those who want to be able to lead music in worship. Further details are available here.

All are encouraged to support those who will receive their certificates, by attending the service which begins at 5pm.
