News Story ~ Dublin Choral Summer School, 13-17 June 2011

May 1, 2011

Dublin Choral Summer School 2011 is an intensive week of choral singing and musicianship classes based in Dublin. The course is open to sopranos, altos, tenors and basses between 14 and 18 years old, whether or not they have choral experience.

During the Summer School, participants will learn music as a choir, but will also have the opportunity to sing in smaller groups. There will be theory, aural and sight-reading workshops, and each singer will have at least one individual voice lesson. The course will focus on teaching choral skills and repertoire in a challenging, dynamic and fun way, and we hope that there will be a good social aspect to it as well! The course will be led by the director of Christ Church Cathedral Girls' Choir, Rosemary Beecher Bryant, and will culminate in a lunchtime concert on Friday 17 June.

The five-day course costs E150, and applications close on Wednesday 8 June. Further details are available on www.sites.google.com/site/choralsummerschool, or contact rbeecherbryant@gmail.com.
